While the spirit of this well-known text is admirable, especially for its time, it also reflects an understanding of gender that cries out for re-interpretation.

 

This installation does exactly that! The prayers displayed at Hebrew Union College-JIR, LA, and in this digital exhibit come from across the US. Participants are from varied backgrounds and ages.
